Bizi, Zaragoza’s new public transport service, has ended its first week with more than 5,000 pass holders. By 12.00 am on Tuesday 3 June, 5,366 people had registered for Bizi.

Bizi cards went on sale at www.bizizaragoza.com on 20 May 2008. The public bicycle service of the Zaragoza city council will be available from 28 May 2008 with 300 bicycles and 30 stations distributed across 17 locations. This will be extended in subsequent phases to a total of 1,000 bicycles by 2010.

A total of 10,000 annual cards worth €6 each will be issued during the first phase, with 300 bicycles, 30 stations and 17 locations in Zaragoza, in order to be able to guarantee the availability of bicycles for all Bizi card holders.
